Product & Ingredients
What are the ingredients, and are they natural or clean label?
Prequelle is a digestive enzyme supplement designed to support the breakdown of specific carbohydrates found in everyday meals.
The active enzymes are:
- Lactase – helps break down lactose, the natural sugar found in milk and dairy foods.
- Alpha-galactosidase – helps break down certain carbohydrates found in beans, legumes, and some vegetables.
- Fructanase/Inulinase – helps break down fructans and inulin, fibers found in foods such as wheat, onion, garlic, and some vegetables.
Each sachet contains 2 capsules.
The formula is designed to be targeted, not overloaded. Digestive enzymes aren’t one-size-fits-all. Each enzyme acts on specific food components, so the goal is to match the enzyme to the foods most likely to cause digestive discomfort.
Other ingredients may include the capsule shell and inactive ingredients needed for product stability and consistency. Please check the final product label for the complete ingredient list.
Is this product third-party tested?
Yes. Prequelle uses third-party testing as part of its quality process.
Each production batch goes through several layers of review before it is released for sale. This helps confirm that the product matches what is listed on the label and meets quality and safety standards.
The testing process includes:
- Raw material review — Before production, each ingredient is reviewed to confirm that it meets the required specifications. This includes checking supplier documentation, such as Certificates of Analysis, ingredient identity, purity, and quality standards.
- Enzyme activity testing — The active enzymes are tested to confirm that they meet the intended activity levels. This matters because digestive enzymes are measured by activity, not just by weight. For Prequelle, this includes confirming the activity of Lactase, Alpha-galactosidase, and Fructanase/Inulinase. This step helps make sure the product provides the enzyme activity stated on the label.
- Identity testing — Testing is used to confirm that the ingredients in the product are what they are supposed to be. This helps verify that the correct enzymes and ingredients were used in manufacturing.
- Purity and contaminant testing — The product is tested for unwanted contaminants. This may include screening for heavy metals, microbial contamination, yeast and mold, and pathogens, where required. This step helps confirm that the product meets safety standards before it is released.
- Finished product testing — After the capsules are manufactured, the finished product is tested to confirm that it meets final specifications. This may include checking capsule appearance, fill weight, enzyme activity, microbial safety, and overall product quality.
- Batch release review — Before a batch is approved for sale, the test results and production records are reviewed. A batch is only released if it meets the required specifications.
- Ongoing stability testing — Stability testing is used to confirm that the product continues to meet quality standards through its shelf life when stored as directed. This helps support the expiry date listed on the package.
We use third-party testing because enzyme products need more than a clean ingredient list. They need to show that the enzymes are active, correctly measured, and safe for use.
Does it contain common allergens like gluten, soy, or dairy?
Prequelle is being designed with common food sensitivities in mind.
The product is intended to be free of major allergens, including gluten, dairy, and soy. However, please always check the final product label and allergen statement before use, especially if you have a serious allergy.
If you have celiac disease, a severe allergy, or a medically required avoidance diet, speak with your healthcare provider before using any new supplement.
Is it safe to take with medications or other supplements?
Prequelle contains digestive enzymes that act locally in the digestive tract to help break down specific food components.
However, if you take medication, have a medical condition, or use other supplements regularly, speak with your doctor, pharmacist, or dietitian before using Prequelle.
This is especially important if you have a digestive disease, an immune condition, diabetes, are taking blood thinners, or are under medical care.
Is it safe if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, speak with your healthcare provider before taking Prequelle.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are times when it is best to get personalized medical advice before starting any new supplement.
Who is this product for?
Prequelle is for adults who experience occasional gas, bloating, pressure, or digestive discomfort after meals that contain harder-to-digest carbohydrates.
It is designed for people who want support with meals that include foods such as:
- Dairy foods that contain lactose
- Beans, lentils, and chickpeas
- Wheat-based foods
- Onion and garlic
- Inulin or chicory root fibre
- Some high-fiber vegetables
- Mixed meals that combine several of these foods
Prequelle may be a good fit if you often second-guess these foods, feel unsure before eating out, or want support for real-life meals without having to avoid everything.
It is taken with the first bite so the enzymes can mix with food as digestion begins.
Who should NOT take Prequelle?
Don’t take Prequelle if you are allergic to any ingredient in the product.
Speak with a healthcare provider before use if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a diagnosed digestive disease
- Have ongoing, severe, or unexplained digestive symptoms
- Have unintentional weight loss
- Have blood in your stool
- Have persistent vomiting or diarrhea
- Are taking prescription medication
- Are buying this for a child
Prequelle is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Efficacy & Expectations
How long until I see results?
Prequelle is taken with food and is designed to work during the meal as digestion begins.
Some people may notice support with the same meal. For others, it may take a few uses to understand which meals it helps with most.
Results can vary depending on the food, portion size, timing, your digestive system, and your personal tolerance.
Prequelle works best as a proactive tool. It is meant to be taken before or with food, not after symptoms have already started.
Can I take it after I already feel bloated?
Prequelle is not designed as an after-the-fact rescue product.
Digestive enzymes need to be present at the same time as the food so they can help break down specific food components before they reach the large intestine and ferment.
Once gas and bloating have already started, taking an enzyme is less likely to help with that episode. For best results, take Prequelle before your first bite.
How do I take it?
Take 1 capsule before the first bite of a meal.
For longer or larger meals, or meals that include dessert, you may take the second capsule if you are still eating your meal after 30 minutes.
This timing matters because digestion starts before and during the first bites of food. Taking Prequelle at the start of the meal helps the enzymes mix with food as it enters your digestive tract.
Do not exceed the recommended daily amount listed on the product label.
What is the recommended dosage?
The recommended use is:
Take 1 capsule with your first bite. Take a second capsule with dessert or after 30 minutes of longer meals, if needed.
Maximum: 2 capsules per day, unless otherwise directed on the final product label or by your healthcare provider.
Why do we list a maximum daily dose?
Two capsules keep Prequelle within the daily amount of fructanase that has been studied for safety and tolerability in healthy adults.
Why does Prequelle focus on “before the first bite”?
Digestion begins before food reaches your stomach.
When you see, smell, taste, or even think about food, your brain starts preparing your digestive system. This is called the cephalic phase of digestion. During this phase, your body begins to release saliva, digestive enzymes, stomach acid, and gentle gut movement.
For people with sensitive digestion, rushed meals, stress, distracted eating, or eating on the go may make the digestive system feel less prepared.
Prequelle is built around the “before the first bite” moment because that is when digestive support makes the most sense: before discomfort starts and while the food is entering your digestive tract.
Is there research or clinical backing behind the formula?
Prequelle is based on the role of digestive enzymes in helping break down specific food components.
The formula includes enzymes selected for their ability to act on:
- Lactose
- Galacto-oligosaccharides, found in foods like beans and legumes
- Fructans and inulin, found in foods like wheat, onion, garlic, and some vegetables
Digestive enzymes work like a lock-and-key system. Each enzyme acts on a specific food component. This is why a targeted formula can be more useful than a long list of enzymes that may not match the foods you are eating.
Prequelle is being developed with regulatory and manufacturing partners to support quality, safety, and appropriate use.
Is it good for IBS?
Prequelle is not a treatment for IBS or any medical condition.
It is designed to support the digestion of certain food components that some people may find difficult to tolerate. Those with sensitive digestion may choose to use digestive enzymes as part of their personal meal routine.
IBS is complex. Symptoms can be influenced by food, gut sensitivity, gut motility, stress, sleep, and the gut-brain connection. Enzymes may help with food-related triggers, but they do not address all causes of digestive symptoms.
If you have IBS, IBD, celiac disease, SIBO, persistent symptoms, or a new change in bowel habits, speak with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.
Is Prequelle a replacement for the low FODMAP diet?
No. Prequelle is not a replacement for medical nutrition therapy or a structured low FODMAP process.
It may be used as a support tool for certain meals, especially once you have a better sense of which foods are harder for you to tolerate.
If you are in the middle of a strict elimination phase, have not been assessed, or have ongoing symptoms, it is best to work with a dietitian or healthcare provider.
What types of foods can Prequelle help with?
Prequelle may help support the digestion of meals that include foods such as:
- Milk, yogurt, soft cheese, or ice cream
- Beans, lentils, and chickpeas
- Wheat-based foods
- Onion and garlic
- Some high-fiber foods
- Meals that combine several harder-to-digest carbohydrates
Food tolerance is personal. The foods that cause symptoms in one person may not cause them in someone else.
Prequelle works best when the enzyme matches the food you are eating.
Does Prequelle work for all digestive symptoms?
No. Prequelle is designed to support the breakdown of specific carbohydrates in food.
It may not help symptoms caused by:
- High-fat meals
- Caffeine
- Alcohol
- Stress or anxiety
- Poor sleep
- Constipation
- Gut motility issues
- Visceral hypersensitivity
- Medical digestive conditions
Enzymes can be helpful, but they are only one part of digestive care.
How can I get the best results?
For best results:
- Take Prequelle with your first bite.
- Use it with meals that contain the foods it is designed to help break down.
- Avoid taking it long before or after a meal.
- Slow down for the first few bites.
- Try not to eat while rushing, driving, scrolling, or working.
- Consider taking a few slow breaths before eating.
- Pay attention to which meals feel better with enzyme support.
Prequelle is designed to support a more prepared, less rushed start to eating.
How safe are the ingredients?
The ingredients in Prequelle are selected for their digestive enzyme activity and intended use with meals.
Digestive enzymes are commonly used in supplements, but safety still depends on the person, the dose, and the reason for use.
Always follow the product directions. Don’t exceed the recommended amount. Speak with a healthcare provider if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have ongoing digestive symptoms.

Who is behind this brand?
Prequelle was created by Keren Reiser, a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of experience in digestive health and food intolerance care.
Keren built Prequelle because she kept seeing the same pattern in her practice: people who had stopped looking for a solution, not because one didn’t exist, but because nothing they’d tried had actually worked.
Prequelle is designed to change that, with quality ingredients, a targeted formula, and one capsule before the first bite.
How are you different from competitors?
Prequelle is designed for people who want digestive support in a simple, elegant, and practical format.
What makes Prequelle different:
- It is designed by a Registered Dietitian.
- It focuses on the moment “before the first bite.”
- It is designed for real-life meals, not perfect eating.
- It comes in convenient sachets to preserve quality at home or on the go.
- It includes enzymes selected for lactose, fructans/inulin, and galacto-oligosaccharides.
- It’s taken before the meal, not sprinkled on your food.
- It is designed for people who want to feel more confident around meals they usually second-guess.
Prequelle isn’t about restriction. It’s built for real life–not perfect eating.
How It Works
I have tried other digestive products before. Why would Prequelle be different?
Many digestive products are either very broad or very narrow.
Some contain long lists of enzymes, but don’t clearly explain which foods they help with. Others focus on only one type of carbohydrate, such as lactose or the sugars found in beans.
Prequelle is designed to be more targeted. It includes enzymes selected for specific harder-to-digest carbohydrates, including lactose, fructans/inulin, and galacto-oligosaccharides.
That means it isn’t trying to be everything for every symptom. It is designed to support specific meals that commonly include foods like dairy, wheat, onion, garlic, beans, lentils, chickpeas, and inulin-containing fibers.
If other products haven’t worked for you, it doesn’t necessarily mean enzymes can’t help. It may mean the enzyme didn’t match the food you were eating, the timing was off, or your symptoms were coming from something enzymes aren’t designed to address.
What does Prequelle help break down?
Prequelle is designed to help break down specific carbohydrates that can be harder for some people to digest.
These include:
- Lactose – found in milk, ice cream, soft cheeses, and some dairy foods
- Galacto-oligosaccharides – found in beans, lentils, chickpeas, and some legumes
- Fructans and inulin – found in wheat, onion, garlic, chicory root fiber, and some vegetables
These carbohydrates can be fermented by gut bacteria if they aren’t well broken down earlier in digestion. For some people, that fermentation can contribute to gas, bloating, pressure, and discomfort.
Prequelle helps support the digestion of these specific food components when taken with the meal.
What does Prequelle NOT help with?
Prequelle is not designed to address every digestive symptom or food trigger.
It may not help symptoms caused by:
- High-fat meals
- Alcohol
- Caffeine
- Spicy foods
- Constipation
- Stress or anxiety
- Hormonal changes
- Gut motility issues
- Visceral hypersensitivity
- Food poisoning or infections
- Medical digestive conditions
Prequelle also doesn’t replace a low FODMAP diet, medical care, or personalized nutrition advice.
It is a digestive support tool for specific meals, not a cure-all.
Do I need to know my exact food trigger before using Prequelle?
Not always.
Prequelle may be helpful if you notice that mixed-ingredient meals tend to leave you feeling gassy, bloated, pressured, or uncomfortable.
That said, it is still helpful to pay attention to patterns. Prequelle works best when the enzymes match the food you are eating.
If your symptoms happen after almost every meal, even very simple meals, or if you have severe, worsening, or unexplained symptoms, it is best to speak with a healthcare provider.
Is this just another product for bloating?
Prequelle isn’t a general “bloating pill.”
It is a targeted digestive enzyme formula designed to help break down specific carbohydrates in food. The goal is to support digestion before discomfort starts, not to chase symptoms after they have already happened.
That is why timing matters. Prequelle is taken with the first bite so the enzymes can mix with food as digestion begins.
Why didn’t other enzymes work for me?
“Digestive enzyme” is a broad dietary supplement category. Not all enzymes do the same thing, and there are several reasons another product may not have helped.
Possible reasons include:
- It was the wrong enzyme for the food. Different enzymes work on different parts of food. For example, lactase helps with lactose in dairy, but it doesn’t help with onion, garlic, beans, lentils, chickpeas, or wheat-based fructans.
- The formula was too general. Some blends include many enzymes, but only small amounts of each. A long ingredient list doesn’t always mean there is enough of the right enzyme activity to make a noticeable difference.
- The dose may not have been enough. Enzymes are measured by activity, not just by weight. If the enzyme activity is too low, the product may not do much, even if the ingredient is listed on the label.
- The timing may have been off. Digestive enzymes work best when taken with food, so they can mix with the meal as digestion begins. Taking them long before eating, after the meal, or after gas and bloating have already started may not give them a fair chance to work.
- Your symptoms may not be enzyme-related. Constipation, gut sensitivity, stress, gut motility, medical conditions, large meals, and high-fat meals can all cause symptoms that digestive enzymes may not address.
If another enzyme didn’t work for you, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all enzymes are useless for you. It may mean the enzyme, dose, timing, or food target wasn’t the right match.
Can Prequelle help me eat anything I want?
Prequelle can help support the digestion of specific food components, but it doesn’t make every food symptom-free for every person.
It may help you feel more prepared for meals that include foods you usually second-guess, especially foods with lactose, fructans/inulin, or galacto-oligosaccharides.
Your personal tolerance still matters. Portion size, timing, stress, sleep, bowel habits, and the overall meal can all affect how you feel.
Prequelle is about support, not permission to ignore your body.
Will I need to take this with every meal?
No. Prequelle is designed to be used when you need it.
You may choose to take it with meals that include foods you usually second-guess, such as restaurant meals, travel meals, holiday meals, dinner parties, or meals with dairy, wheat, onion, garlic, beans, lentils, chickpeas, or inulin-containing fibers.
You don’t need to take it with meals that already feel comfortable for you.
Can I use Prequelle when eating out?
Yes. Prequelle was designed with real-life meals in mind.
Eating out can be hard when you don’t know exactly what is in the food. Onion, garlic, wheat, dairy, beans, and added fiber can appear in sauces, dressings, marinades, spices, soups, dips, and desserts.
Prequelle comes in sachets so you can keep it with you and take it with your first bite when you need support.
What if I am nervous to try it?
That is completely understandable.
Many people with sensitive digestion have tried many products, diets, and routines before. It makes sense to feel cautious.
Prequelle is designed to be used with meals that match the enzymes in the formula. Start with a familiar meal that contains one or more target foods, follow the directions, and pay attention to how you feel.
If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have severe or unexplained symptoms, speak with a healthcare provider before use.
What if it does not work for me?
Prequelle may not work for everyone or for every symptom.
If it does not help, it may mean the meal did not match the enzymes in the formula, the timing was off, the portion was too large, or your symptoms are coming from something enzymes are not designed to address.
If something isn’t right with your experience, contact us. We will work with you to understand what happened and help with the best next step.
Do digestive enzymes need to be sprinkled on food to work?
No. Digestive enzymes don’t need to be sprinkled directly on food to work.
Digestive enzymes are designed to work with food in the digestive tract. What matters most is that the right enzymes are taken at the right time, with the foods they are intended to help break down.
Prequelle is taken with your first bite, so the enzymes are present as your meal is being digested. Once the capsule opens in the digestive tract, the enzymes can mix with the meal and begin working on their specific food targets.
Some enzyme products are powders that are added directly to food. Prequelle was designed as a capsule because many people prefer something simple, discreet, and easy to use at restaurants, while traveling, at work, or during social meals.
The capsule format doesn’t change the purpose of the enzymes. It simply makes them easier to take in real life.
Why is Prequelle in capsules instead of a powder?
Prequelle is in capsule form because many people want digestive support that is simple, discreet, and easy to take on the go.
Capsules can be taken at the table, while traveling, at a restaurant, or during a social meal without needing to sprinkle powder on food.
The goal is to make digestive support feel practical in real life.
Why does Prequelle come in sachets?
Each sachet is designed for convenience and confidence.
You can keep a sachet in your bag, desk, travel kit, or jacket pocket so it is there when you need it.
Each sachet contains 2 capsules: one for your first bite and one for dessert or for meals lasting longer than 30 minutes.
Why is Prequelle priced as a premium product?
Prequelle is a targeted digestive enzyme formula made with specific enzyme activities, quality-controlled manufacturing, third-party testing, and convenient sachet packaging.
The price reflects more than the capsules. It includes ingredient sourcing, enzyme activity testing, finished product testing, manufacturing controls, packaging, and the quality systems needed to release the product responsibly.
We also offer subscription options so regular customers can save money and avoid running out.
Can I try Prequelle without committing to a subscription?
Yes. You can purchase Prequelle as a one-time order.
The subscription option is available for customers who want regular deliveries and subscription savings, but it isn’t required.
You can choose the option that feels right for you at checkout.
Why should I trust Prequelle?
Prequelle was created by Keren Reiser, a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of experience in digestive health, IBS, and food intolerance care.
The formula is designed to be specific, transparent, and practical. We explain what the product is intended to help with, what it doesn’t cover, how to take it, and when to seek personalized care.
We believe trust is built by being clear, not by overpromising.
Will the formula change?
We don’t make formula changes lightly.
If there is ever a meaningful change to the formula, ingredients, or allergens, we will update the product label and communicate the change clearly.
We know that people with sensitive digestion rely on ingredient consistency, so transparency is part of our quality commitment.
